Responsibilities
Support the development of new technologies for subsurface resource extraction
Providing advice and guidance on the design, evaluation, and management of government and private-sector-sponsored Research and Development (R&D) programs
Inform our clients about emerging technology needs
Engage and collaborate with a group of technology experts to leverage rapidly maturing technologies from other sectors to further energy technology development
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research pertaining to subsurface resource extraction
2+ years of experience with mining, drilling, well completion, flow in porous media, reservoir stimulation, reservoir analysis, petroleum geology, structural geology, geophysics, geochemistry, rock characterization, or mineralogy
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Doctorate degree in a Physical Science or Engineering field
Preferred
Experience in a consulting or advisory role
Ability to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness when facing uncertainty and ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking
Possession of excellent communication, organizational, client service, and analytical skills
