Responsibilities
Take technical ownership of quality engineering, driving improvements and innovation in automated testing to support evolving product requirements
Define and implement end-to-end test strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and scalability
Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks, with a strong focus on frontend and integration testing (e.g., Playwright, Karate)
Ensure code quality and reliability through robust automated functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
Document test strategies, frameworks, and troubleshooting guides to enable consistency and knowledge sharing across teams
Lead and mentor other test engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive quality culture
Collaborate closely with engineering and DevOps teams to identify issues early and drive continuous improvement
Actively seek feedback and dissent, understanding that engineering is a team sport
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in test automation, quality engineering, and/or software engineering
Strong hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, particularly Playwright and/or Karate
Proven ability to define and execute test strategies for complex systems
Experience working in Agile, cross-functional environments
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction and collaborate across teams
Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, with strong self-management and prioritization skills
A mindset focused on continuous learning and elevating the skills of others
Preferred
Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Argo, including test automation and pipeline optimization
Hands-on experience enhancing CI/CD pipelines and test automation infrastructure to enable fast, reliable releases
Experience with observability and diagnostics tools, such as Datadog, Splunk, OpenSearch, Elastic APM, Zipkin, or Honeycomb
Experience performing log, metric, and error stack trace analysis to support root-cause investigations
Familiarity with GenAI / LLM testing and evaluation practices, and interest in adopting emerging testing standards and tools
