Responsibilities

Execute web security assessments on websites, web applications, web services and APIs using Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) tools
Execute specific tasks within the scope of web application penetration testing
Provides application vulnerability remediation guidance, and recommendations to developers and software engineers
Promote and evangelize AppSec initiatives by delivering brown bags and developer outreach activities such as secure coding tournaments

Required

Familiarity in the usage of Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) tools such as OWASP ZAP and Burp Suite
Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex systems or solutions effectively (i.e. explain what HTTP is to a non-technical associate)
Communication Skills- Good verbal and written communication skills to document findings and report on security assessments
Attention to Detail - Keen eye for detail to identify potential security issues
Passion for Cybersecurity - Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity through coursework, personal projects, or participation in cybersecurity competitions (e.g., CTFs)
Willingness to Learn - Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in cybersecurity
Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to think critically and solve problems independently and as part of a team
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field desired - in progress or recently completed
