Mid LevelTekshapers is seeking a SCADA Design Engineer with experience in power system applications and SCADA systems. The role involves hands-on expertise with various SCADA platforms, data handling, and performance tuning.
Software
Responsibilities
Hands-on expertise preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21), AEMS Platform, GE eTerra, PowerOn Advantage Software, as well as SCADA / DMS/ EMS of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc
Display & Visualization – SLD creation, HMI development, real-time dashboards, operator displays, and reports
Programming / Scripting – C, C++, PERL, Java or equivalent for application interfacing and scripting
Data Handling – Real-time data acquisition, Historian integration, data replication, and logging
Performance Tuning & Monitoring – Query optimization, indexing, database health monitoring
Qualification
Required
Experience with power system applications and/or SCADA systems
Exposure to one or more EMS applications such as Power Flow, State Estimation, Contingency Analysis (including N‑1 concepts), Generation Control or Automatic Generation Control, and alarms and calculations
Understanding of how SCADA quality affects EMS performance
Hands-on expertise preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21), AEMS Platform, GE eTerra, PowerOn Advantage Software, as well as SCADA / DMS/ EMS of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc
