Responsibilities
Assists with design and implementation of new infrastructure and technologies
Develop scripts to automate the monitoring of VDI environment
Responds to End user requests for technical support and assistance after escalation
Executes application virtualization using VMWare ThinApp, App Volumes, RDSH
Publishes desktop and individual applications via RDSH according to the department requirements in the organization
Provides trend analysis of VDI performance and incidents
Develop business continuity plans for VDI environment
Works cross-teams to deliver a high-performance virtual environment
Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
Five years of experience with VMWare, VDI Horizon View, or other desktop virtualization
Strong customer service skills
In-depth knowledge of modern end user hardware and software technology support
Knowledge of desktop virtualization
Knowledge of operating systems
Knowledge of enterprise support methodology
Ability to work independently
Ability to exercise good judgement
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people
Ability to analyze and solve problems in a timely fashion
Ability to be flexible and thrive in a fast paced and active work environment
Preferred
Possession of VMWare VCTA certification
