Required

4–6 years of product design experience owning projects end-to-end
Early designer experience at a startup or strong agency background
Owned a significant product surface area or major feature set
Experience designing FinTech or SaaS products used by SMBs
Comfortable working in a high-ownership, early-stage startup environment
Portfolio shows clean, simple, modern product design (Linear-style aesthetic preferred)
Strong UX, UI, and interaction design skills
Deep Figma expertise (components, variants, auto-layout, design systems)
Experience building and maintaining a design system
Strong product sense and clear design opinions
Excellent communication with engineers, founders, and customers
High empathy for SMB users and platform customers
Must work on-site in San Francisco 5 days/week
Authorized to work in the US (TN or H1B transfer supported, no new sponsorship)

Preferred

Former first / founding designer at an early-stage startup
Experience with embedded products, APIs, or platform tools
Background in accounting, bookkeeping, fintech infrastructure, or vertical SaaS
Experience owning brand, website, and marketing design
Designed and launched a company website from scratch
Experience working directly with founders or CEOs
