This role will provide essential support for infrastructure management, system security, virtualization, and backup operations in alignment with ITIL and industry best practices.

Responsibilities
Manage and troubleshoot server operating systems, infrastructure software, and hardware
Administer the day-to-day integrity, availability, and security of systems and applications
Execute capacity analysis, monitor performance, and maintain the security posture of infrastructure systems
Create and maintain SOPs, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles
Perform maintenance upgrades to maintain operational and security posture
Assist engineering teams in the evaluation and testing of hardware and software products
Provide support for Virtual Machines (e.g., power cycles, snapshot management)
Ensure STIG compliance and reporting
Create, deploy, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Manage patching for servers and workstations, including OS and application updates (e.g., Microsoft 365, Adobe, Java)
Test and troubleshoot system images
Support problem management, including root cause analysis for patching and vulnerabilities
Provide support for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
Support end user devices and servers for backup and restoration in collaboration with DHA Enterprise Support staff
Implement and support system and infrastructure backup procedures
Periodically test backup and restoration operations per enterprise directives
Document backup and restore operations for auditability
Recommend process and tool improvements for backup reliability
Coordinate with Government entities to resolve backup and restore issues
Ensure encryption and secure storage of backup media per FIPS and DoD standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience with systems administration, patch management, and backup operations
Strong knowledge of virtualization, Microsoft environments, and compliance standards
DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE and relevant Computing Environment certification)
Must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC)/Tier 1 background check
