Full Charge Bookkeeper
Confidential company is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of day-to-day financial operations for their organization on Long Island. The role involves managing the general ledger, handling accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closings
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice preparation, payment processing, and collections
Process payroll and related tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records for audits
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
Collaborate with external accountants or auditors as needed
Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and records
Support management with ad hoc financial reports and analysis
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
Proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable accounting software
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
