Responsibilities
Lead and collaborate with team members throughout the full software development lifecycle to design and implement effective, scalable solutions
Ensure systems meet quality, security, and compliance standards while aligning with organizational goals
Promote adaptability by exploring emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance performance and innovation
Oversee the development and maintenance of applications and data systems to meet evolving research and operational needs
Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions that improve efficiency and impact
Foster clear documentation and knowledge sharing to support team collaboration and continuity
Mentor and support team members, encouraging professional growth and continuous learning
Promote a positive, inclusive work environment that values collaboration, accountability, and innovation
Coordinate with project management to ensure timelines and deliverables are met while maintaining high standards of quality
Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in systems, processes, and research applications
Contribute to long-term planning and strategy to advance the department's reputation and capabilities
Stay current with industry trends and best practices, actively engaging in professional forums and networks
Maintain and expand expertise through ongoing education, certifications, and participation in professional communities
Support special projects and initiatives that align with departmental goals and foster growth
Qualification
Required
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field with three years related experience
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field with five years related experience
Preferred
Prior involvement in healthcare, academic operations, or public sector analytics
Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic, Encompass) or academic admissions systems (AMCAS)
