Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership across payment transaction flows including authorization, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation
Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS and data protection requirements
Drive code quality, best practices, and design standards through reviews, mentoring, and technical governance
Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver business outcomes
Oversee performance optimization, scalability, and resiliency for high-volume, low-latency payment systems
Support integration with payment gateways, card networks, ACH, and third-party financial services
Lead production support and incident resolution, ensuring minimal downtime for mission-critical services
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in Java and related frameworks
Experience with microservices architecture
Strong understanding of REST APIs and event-driven patterns
Knowledge of security and compliance standards, including PCI-DSS
Preferred
Experience with Spring Boot
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of payment processing systems
