Procedure Writer
Pinnacle Specialty Group, Inc. is seeking a Procedure Writer to develop and modify technical procedures for various inspection and testing tasks. The role involves ensuring compliance with specific technical and administrative procedures, preparing and coordinating reviews, and implementing hazard controls.
Responsibilities
Develop new, revised, or modified technical procedures which enable personnel to safety and correctly perform tasks associated with dimensional inspection, material testing, metrology, procurement, radiography, and weld inspection
Comply with Y15-232, Technical Procedure Process, and the Technical Procedure Authoring Tool (TPAT)
Occasionally develop or revise administrative procedures and comply with Y15-235, Administrative Management Requirements Process, and the Administrative Procedure Authoring Tool (APAT)
Develop Enterprise procedures
Familiar with the regulatory and administrative requirements affecting procedures
Determine the technical requirements that apply to the procedures by examining DOE Orders and Standards; 60-101PD, Quality Assurance Program Description, and Y60-015, Integrated Quality Manual; Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) documents; and Hazard Analysis documents
Prepare & coordinate procedure reviews and comment resolution
Implement hazard controls, capture quality and performance data, and ensure that the procedure can be performed as written through verification and validation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree with 10+ years experience in technical disciplines
Experience writing technical procedures in a commercial or Weapons Complex facility
In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a technical background with 15 years experience in writing technical procedures in a commercial nuclear or Weapons Complex may be considered
Level 3 – BA/BS Degree plus 10-14 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 10-13 years of experience
Level 4 - BA/BS Degree plus 15-20 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 14-18 years of experience
Level 5 - BA/BS Degree plus 20 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 19 years of experience
Familiarity with regulatory and administrative requirements affecting procedures
Ability to determine technical requirements by examining DOE Orders and Standards
Experience with 60-101PD, Quality Assurance Program Description, and Y60-015, Integrated Quality Manual
Knowledge of Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) documents and Hazard Analysis documents
Experience preparing & coordinating procedure reviews and comment resolution
