Electro Mechanical Engineer
Serac Inc. is growing and looking for a hands-on Electromechanical Assembler II to join their Electrical Assembly team. The role involves assembling and wiring electrical control panels, reading schematics, and supporting electrical engineers during testing and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Assemble & wire electrical control panels, cabinets, and machine components
Read and interpret electrical schematics, machine drawings, and BOMs
Perform mechanical tasks such as mounting enclosures, drilling, tapping, and conduit bending
Support electrical engineers during testing, troubleshooting, and machine start-up
Complete quality documentation and follow all safety & assembly standards
Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S and continuous improvement practices
Perform additional duties as needed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
3–5 years experience in manufacturing or industrial assembly environments
3–5 years hands-on experience building electrical control panels & machine wiring
Skilled with hand tools, power tools, fabrication tools, and pneumatic equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and reaching
Hands-on work in a manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of electrical control components (breakers, relays, switches, timers)
Ability to work from electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
Excellent problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail
Clear communicator with a team-first, collaborative mindset
Solid math skills and comfort working independently
Preferred
Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred
Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, or gantry systems is a plus
