Responsibilities
Design, model, develop, and test machines, structures, or systems according to project specifications
Develop and document functional requirements for engineering projects
Create simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and validate operational concepts
Design individual components and integrate them into cohesive final products
Conduct comprehensive testing of components and complete systems to verify performance standards
Monitor product quality throughout the development and production lifecycle
Control and optimize process efficiency to maximize productivity and minimize waste
Evaluate designs for overall effectiveness, cost efficiency, reliability, and safety compliance
Investigate root causes of product or system failures using systematic analysis techniques
Recommend and implement improvements based on failure analysis and quality assessments
Maintain detailed documentation of design decisions, test results, and quality metrics
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
Strong understanding and application of standard engineering principles and methodologies
Proficiency in engineering design and modeling techniques
Experience with simulation tools and prototype development
Component design and systems integration capabilities
Testing and validation expertise
Quality control and process management abilities
Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
Cost-benefit analysis and design optimization
Technical documentation and reporting
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
Preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred but not required
