Responsibilities
Report to our California Litigation Partner
Delegate tasks and ensure deadlines are met. Work with and manage junior team members reporting to you
Have varied activities including multiple, simultaneous projects that offer learning opportunities
Use your expertise-based problem-solving skills to offer innovative solutions
Be required to have a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. You believe that quality should never be compromised
Draft, review and revise contracts or agreements and deliver practical, plain English advice
Draft, review, and revise demand letters, case pleadings, and motion papers in commercial litigation matters
Assist with all substantive aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, and preparing for depositions
Support business transactions by preparing ancillary agreements and reviewing key deal terms to help close matters efficiently and cleanly
Lead by example: with your work ethic, your drive for success, and positive attitude
Be involved in client development, marketing and the growth of the firm
Qualification
Required
At least 4-6 full years' experience in commercial litigation and corporate contracts and transactions
Licensed to practice law in California and New York
Conscientious, thorough and you take the accuracy of your work seriously
Proactive, driven and good under pressure
Eager to learn and improve on the job, so you are receptive to feedback
Polished, poised, practical, energetic and you have a strong work ethic
