This role leads site-level quality operations in a high-volume production environment, focusing on driving quality performance and maintaining compliance while building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead and maintain the site Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements

Manage and develop the plant quality team including engineers, technicians, auditors, and inspectors

Serve as the primary quality contact for OEM and Tier 1 customers

Drive corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methodologies

Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and launch readiness activities

Track and improve quality KPIs including PPM, scrap, rework, and customer scorecards

Prepare for and lead internal audits, customer audits, and third-party audits

Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Tooling, and Production teams

Support supplier quality performance and corrective actions

Drive continuous improvement and layered process audit initiatives

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience

5+ years of quality leadership experience in automotive manufacturing

Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive core tools

Experience in plastic injection molding or high-volume manufacturing environments

Proven experience leading audits, customer quality interactions, and corrective actions

Strong data analysis and SPC experience

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment

Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred

IATF 16949 Lead Auditor certification

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

OEM or Tier 1 customer experience

Experience supporting multi-shift manufacturing operations
