Alpha Business Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Java Developer to join a large multi-national American hospitality organization. The role involves building and supporting APIs and enhancing microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities
Work with the Architect and other Developers to create
Develop, support, and troubleshoot microservices using Java and Spring Boot 3
Build and consume RESTful APIs, adhering to best practices and standards
Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy applications in Kubernetes environments
Leverage observability tools for application monitoring and logging
Contribute to building and maintaining event-driven architectures (e.g., using messaging queues)
Document and expose APIs using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI
Work with API gateways to manage and secure API traffic
Implement and support OAuth for secure authentication and authorization
Learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed
Flexible and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies
Highly self-motivated and directed
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Java
Experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful web services
Experience using Git for source control
Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration tools
Understanding of microservices architecture
Exposure to observability platforms (Datadog, Splunk, ELK, etc.)
Basic knowledge of event-driven systems and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI
Understanding of API Gateways and OAuth concepts
Bachelors and 1 year work experience
Preferred
Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
