Research Assistant I - Clinical Research

Baylor College of Medicine is looking to hire a competent and reliable Research Assistant I to support the PI in various clinical research studies. The role involves recruiting patients, writing manuscripts, and presenting data to the principal investigator weekly.

Responsibilities

Assists with Grant Writing, IRB submission
Assists in research protocols to help PI meet grant deliverables
Supports PI investigator initiated and industry sponsored clinical trials related to liver disease
Writing protocols, working with IRB and writing manuscripts
Recruits patients, consents, collects and analyzes data for several ongoing clinical trials, presenting weekly to PI
Initiates new awards and protocols
Conducts literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study, and assist in publication
Documents and interprets results of experiments and reports to principal investigators
May develop and modify computer programs
May assign activities to less experienced research staff
Performs other job related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field
Two years of relevant experience
