Responsibilities
Oversee daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping/data entry
Manage and communicate cash flow related issues which includes the accurate and timely preparation of cash flow statements, management of receivables, payables, cash balances, control mechanisms and timely deposits of all funds
Investigate and analyze variances to budget or to prior year
Monitor the capital planning process by gathering support, monitoring the bid process, and ensuring proper payment of vendors
Ensure compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution and payment of all operational taxes
Assist with preparation of budgets; monitor operating budgets and capital budgets
Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
Qualification
Required
Minimum of three years of related progressive experience in hotel and/or food & beverage Accounting or related field; or a 4-year college degree with an Accounting/ Finance concentration and a minimum of 4-years of related progressive experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Accuracy and efficiency with mathematical calculations
Proficiency with computers and financial systems
Ability to understand and work in various accounting systems and PMS and POS systems
Gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to clearly communicate with guests, management, and co-workers
Preferred
Experience in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel preferred
