Enterprise Solutions Architect - BI and Microsoft Fabric
Method360 Talent Acquisition is seeking a Senior-Level Consulting Lead / Solution Architect specializing in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to lead the strategic design and optimization of an enterprise data platform. This role involves guiding clients through the transition to scalable, enterprise-grade BI architecture, optimizing cloud BI architecture, and advising executive leadership on technical decisions and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assess current Power BI / Fabric architecture and identify root causes of performance, throttling, and scalability issues
Design a persona-based BI architecture, separating executive summary needs from deep-dive analytical use cases
Recommend hybrid technical solutions, including:
Pre-staging and caching strategies (e.g., materialized views) for executive-critical reporting
Capacity-aware design patterns to avoid throttling and performance degradation
Appropriate use of AI / Copilot / conversational BI for ad hoc and “corner-case” questions
Guide decisions around Fabric capacity planning and cost optimization without defaulting to infrastructure overbuying
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating technical decisions into business outcomes and risk mitigation
Use structured frameworks (e.g., SCQA – Situation, Complication, Question, Answer) to clearly frame problems, options, and recommendations
Help leadership understand the cost-benefit trade-offs of architecture changes relative to high-stakes executive decision-making
Act as a “guide for the guides” by mentoring internal technical leads and IT administrators on:
Enterprise BI best practices
Cloud-native optimization strategies
Sustainable governance and workspace design
Establish repeatable standards and principles the internal team can carry forward after the engagement ends
Recommend and help define workspace segmentation based on criticality (e.g., Executive-Critical vs. Operational)
Advise on governance, access controls, and capacity isolation to ensure reliability for executive reporting
Qualification
Required
Senior-level experience (10+ years preferred) in enterprise BI, analytics architecture, or data platform consulting
Deep hands-on expertise with Power BI (semantic models, performance tuning, large models)
Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric (capacity management, workloads, governance)
Deep hands-on expertise with hybrid architectures especially involving Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve performance and scalability issues in cloud BI environments
Strong business acumen and emotional intelligence—able to influence executives and technical teams alike
