Internal Finance Senior Accountant

The Internal Finance Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy and compliance of the company's internal accounting functions, manage the general ledger, prepare financial reports, and assist with treasury management.

Responsibilities
Maintain the organization's general ledger, asset tracking schedules, liabilities, expenses, and revenues. Reconcile general ledger accounts and propose adjusting journal entries
Assist with treasury management and cash flow. Analyze operational variances between current month, prior month and budget. Prepare and record system depreciation, monitor/track and capitalize labor and other expenses related to internal research & development projects, prepare reclassification and adjusted journal entries as needed
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close. Prepare and review monthly accounting entries. Assist internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing or the organization's financial records and statements
Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies and procedures in accordance with company policies. Review project close-outs for proper documentation and reasonableness
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to consistently improve customer service. Maintain open communication with stakeholders regarding the status of projects
Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and/or accounting. Assist firm leadership various projects/tasks, as needed
Qualification
Required
3 years of relevant experience required
Technical competencies include: Knowledge of accounting (GAAP), internal controls, and financial compliance requirements
Ability to foster teamwork
Excellent communication skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and analytical thinking skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines
Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
