Responsibilities
Purchases scrap wire materials in accordance with current market conditions based on pricing standards/models established by Company policy
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Develops the growth of business activities and profit with assigned accounts
Maintains accurate records of all buying/sourcing and prospecting activities including closed sales and follow-up activities
Investigates new potential sources of consumers of scrap metal. Buys from retail, dealer, industrial customers, repair shops, demolition projects, clean-ups, etc
Qualification
Required
1-3 years business marketing/operations experience
Have a good understanding of purchasing scrap metal based off the LME/Comex and hedging
Mid-level work experience with people, project supervision, sales, operations, and/or customer service is a plus
Leadership skills in professional, educational, and/or social experiences
Buying/selling skill and product knowledge retention
Ability and willingness to work in all areas of the business
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Sense of teamwork as well as independent initiative required
Must be able to travel within assigned region and other areas as needed
Must have effective listening and verbal skills to identify important information and to engage with internal and external customers
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
