Business Support Analyst 3, (Intelligence Analyst) - 00059501
The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) is a dynamic state agency responsible for delivering a wide range of services to Georgia's most vulnerable populations. They are seeking a highly motivated and mission-focused Intelligence Analyst to support investigative and oversight activities related to fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct within DHS.

Responsibilities
Conduct strategic and tactical analysis of intelligence related to internal threats, fraud schemes, and other matters affecting agency integrity and security
Collaborate with investigators, auditors, and legal personnel to identify intelligence gaps and develop actionable leads
Prepare briefings, reports, and intelligence products tailored to leadership and investigative teams
Maintain awareness of emerging fraud trends impacting the agency’s mission
Utilize various sources to gather and cross-reference information
May participate in departmental and interagency intelligence-sharing collaborations
Monitors and analyzes public social media and open-source platforms for indicators of fraud, abuse, waste, or other risks relevant to IG investigations
Develops intelligence reports to support inspections, audits, and investigations
Works closely with investigators, auditors, and cybersecurity teams to enhance situational awareness and decision-making
Uses specialized software tools to collect, validate, and synthesize social media and open-source data
Identifies emerging trends, threat actors, and disinformation campaigns that may affect the agency’s mission
Ensure all activities comply with legal, ethical, and privacy standards
Prepare and analyze operational statistics, reports, or other data
May participate as a member of internal and external committees and tasks forces to assess policies, procedures, and programs
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in communication, English, or public relations from an accredited college or university AND three (3) years of experience related to area of assignment
One (1) year of experience required at the lower level Business Support Analyst 2 (GSP131)
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Prior experience supporting OIG, law enforcement, or internal investigations
Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing IG functions
Two (2) years' knowledge of counterintelligence, cybersecurity threats, and insider threat detection
Two (2) years' knowledge of legal and ethical constraints surrounding open-source intelligence collection
Familiarity with insider threat indicators, cybercrime tactics, and data privacy compliance
