PROGRAM MANAGER (JOINT RESILIENCY DIRECTOR) - TITLE 32

The District of Columbia National Guard is seeking a Program Manager for the Joint Resiliency Directorate. The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight and management of various programs supporting service members and their families.

Responsibilities

Advises the Adjutant General (TAG) on all matters pertaining to management, distribution, utilization, development, and support while being the focal point, responsible for planning, overseeing, and directing the activities of state or district programs which include Wellness and Violence Prevention, Yellow Ribbon, ESGR, Resourcing & Outreach, Religious support, and Behavioral Health, Children & Youth, Youth Challenge, and Family Programs
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management
Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and performs follow-up
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

National Guard Membership is required
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service

Permanent Change of Station (PCS): PCS not authorized
3R Incentive MAY be authorized (recruitment and relocation)
Experience, education, or training in managing or directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service organizations
Supervisory, managerial, professional, or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques
Experience using computer and automation systems
Experience time requirements of 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level
Applicants specialized experience includes analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions
Preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence
Evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources
Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures
Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions
Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel
