Assistant Manager, Business Development - Intelligence
Storyful is a global leader in social media news and intelligence reporting, and they are seeking an Assistant Manager of Business Development for their Intelligence team. The role involves driving revenue growth through new client acquisition and expanding existing accounts, along with managing leads and leveraging technology for outreach.

Responsibilities
Participate in lead generation by identifying new targeting opportunities within vertical industries that leverage social data and insights to support business growth
Participate in strategic outreach to the current new business leads database
Participate in materials development, including capabilities presentations to introduce Storyful to new client prospects
Leverage digital tools to create desk research
Take part in networking, organizing and representing Storyful at events, and strategic outreach to marketing and communications decision-makers at leading companies
Work closely with analysts and strategists to identify content for presales outreach to new and existing prospects
Complete revenue and progress updates for weekly and monthly business reporting reviews
Participate in prospecting and follow-up meetings and manage next steps/key actions
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of business development experience for research or social listening tools used by communications, marketing, or research at an agency or consultancy
Proficiency in leveraging CRM and automation tools such as Salesforce and Hubspot
Understanding of communications industry challenges and the role of data and insights to manage: narrative risk, misinformation, influence, executive visibility, brand perception
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including research analysts, senior leaders, and client partners
Working knowledge and use of AI tools to understand industries, companies for prospecting
Ability to learn about core data and insights tools and think critically about client needs to support innovative solutions tailored to their business objectives
Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills to collaborate with research and insights teams and client prospects and executives
