Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns; prepare highly complex returns as needed
Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing tax issues and coordinating related entity filings
Perform detailed reviews and provide feedback to ensure accuracy and quality
Review quarterly and annual accounting procedures to support tax compliance and preparation
Analyze organizational and entity structures for tax implications
Prepare estimated tax liabilities and deliver proactive tax planning strategies
Supervise, train, and mentor team members, including providing performance feedback
Research and document complex tax matters and present recommendations
Communicate tax planning strategies with clients and other advisors involved in the engagement
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding projects and deadlines
Manage multiple engagements, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and best practices through ongoing professional development
Meet annual billable hour and productivity targets
Demonstrate flexibility in taking on additional responsibilities as needed
Qualification
Required
4–6 years of experience in tax preparation and review
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
Ability to adapt to tax law changes and provide strategic planning guidance
Proficiency with tax preparation software and related tools
Developing leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical skills to address and resolve complex tax issues
Full-time availability with flexibility during peak deadlines
Preferred
CPA or EA license preferred, or actively pursuing
