Regulatory Analyst (JC-505363) - Energy Division/ Building Decarbonization and Gas Policy Branch / Renewable Gas and Core Transport Agents (CTA) Oversight Section
California Public Utilities Commission is focused on overseeing consumer protection and the energy transition. The Regulatory Analyst will work on issues related to Core Transport Agents and renewable gas policy, drafting reports and supporting relevant proceedings.
Responsibilities
Work on issues related to Core Transport Agents (CTAs) who are non-utility natural gas providers that give customers an alternative to utility gas service
Drafting an annual report and supporting proceedings that impact CTA's
Could also be assigned to renewable gas policy proceedings
Qualification
Required
Experience related to public utilities and/or transportation in the areas of economics, finance, or policy
Experience conducting research and analysis
Experience writing reports, briefing documents, and/or legislative analyses
Experience working on projects while maintaining cooperative working relationships with others
Completed STD 678 application form
Copy of transcript or diploma if using education to meet minimum qualifications
Verification of United States course/degree equivalency for foreign degrees/transcripts
Employment information on the STD 678 state application must be complete with dates, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 or the Electronic State Employment Application
Resume is required and must be included
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required
Cover letter of not more than one typewritten page describing how training, experience, and education qualifies for the position
