Associate, Interest Rate Derivatives
BMO U.S. is seeking a highly skilled professional to manage White Label Rates Client Service activities requiring deep expertise in Interest Rate and FX products. The role involves executing client service activities, building relationships with clients, and collaborating with Capital Markets to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities
Execute specialized client service activities for White Label Rates, leveraging in-depth product and system knowledge
Partner with Capital Markets to demonstrate operational capabilities during client engagements and sales calls
Build and maintain strong relationships with client banks, senior trading desk personnel, Product Operations, and other corporate stakeholders
Support business partner initiatives, including due diligence, onboarding, and implementation activities
Actively contribute to stakeholder forums (Project Delivery, Technology, Regulatory, Risk) to ensure alignment with BMO’s vision of delivering exceptional customer experiences
Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient execution of assigned White Label Rates Client Service activities
Proactively identify and escalate potential issues or trends to management, supporting effective resolution of business challenges
Play a key role in Business Partner initiatives, including analysis, due diligence, and implementation support
Represent Client Service in stakeholder forums (Project Delivery, Technology, Regulatory, Risk) to drive alignment and operational excellence
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver superior client service and operational support
Actively participate in sales calls, demonstrating platform capabilities and addressing operational inquiries
Assist the front office with presentations, marketing materials, and client engagement content
Support economic research and contribute to market updates for client communications
Conduct research on existing and prospective clients, including financial analysis and projections
Manage client service issues for banks utilizing BMO as a third-party service provider, ensuring timely resolution
Structure trades and prepare pricing sheets as required to support client transactions
Identify potential risk situations within the scope of White Label Rates Client Service activities, make recommendations and/or escalate to management as required
Ensure adherence to directives, internal processes and internal approvals to mitigate risk to the Bank
Understand regulatory and compliance requirements as prescribed for the business unit, and provide recommendations and implement actions to ensure adherence as required
Ensure adherence to all aspects of First Principles, Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Corporate Policy, as well as all applicable legislation, regulatory rules and requirements, and Bank standards, policies and procedures (P&Ps) for such things as potential conflicts of interest, safeguarding of customer information, trading in securities, anti-money laundering, privacy and disclosure of outside business activities
Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained for both customer and Bank information to protect the customer and the Bank and to ensure compliance with Bank P&Ps
Manage risk and minimize losses through monitoring and controlling various reports and taking appropriate action, ensuring compliance requirements, audits and verifications are completed in accordance with Bank P&Ps
Contribute to contingency planning to support the business and maintain continuity of critical processes throughout a contingency event
Ensure all procedures/ standards of team(s) are documented and participate in the regular review and update as needed to prevent losses, avoid unnecessary expenses and to verify that all group activities are in accordance with market best practice guidelines and industry regulations
Identify opportunities to improve the operational effectiveness of assigned day-to-day White Label Rates Client Service activities
Deliver exceptional customer service that builds trust through responsive, accurate, consistent, knowledgeable and available services and support
Develop excellent working relationships with Capital Markets Trading Products desks, Product Operations and other stakeholder groups ensuring we have a global view across the business
Align individual performance goals to the team and organizational goals
Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with 'Being BMO'
Provide day-to-day management and direction to a team of employees by setting the context and direction, defining accountabilities, tasks and assignments, and establishing boundaries for decision-making and approvals

Qualification
Required
2 to 4 years of business related experience in the financial services industry
University Degree/College Diploma in related discipline
Advanced knowledge and understanding of a range of Financial Products including: Fixed Income, Interest Rate Swaps, Interest Rate Options, FX, etc
Calypso and Markitwire experience a plus
Knowledge of Financial Markets and Regulatory oversight bodies
Highly developed written and oral communication skills
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines independently or in a team-based environment
Advanced problem solving skills, analytical thinking and sound judgement
Strong leadership and organizational skills, detail oriented, highly motivated and adaptable to a changing business environment
Strong understanding of business unit's risk and regulatory requirements
Strong understanding of internal business partner's business, services and organization
Knowledge of departmental systems and applications supporting a range of Financial Products
Advanced Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel
