Responsibilities

Monitor the performance of assigned assets to ensure they meet or exceed expected output and efficiency targets
Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for performance improvement
Compare the performance of all the facilities against industry standards and benchmarks to identify areas for optimization
Evaluate and implement new technologies and improvements to enhance the performance and efficiency of the assets
Lead warranty and insurance claim proceedings as needed
Collect lessons learned and best practices and present to internal groups to continuously improve Doral’s pipeline and execution
Continuously evaluate the profitability and ROI of each assigned asset and develop risk mitigation and performance optimization initiatives
Manage budgets for asset operations, maintenance, and capital improvements. Track and evaluate variances to budgets and investment models
Own the KPIs for assigned operating assets
Routinely prepare and present executive summaries of KPIs, risks, and ongoing initiatives for assigned assets
Monitor energy market conditions and risks applicable to assigned assets, and collaborate with Energy Managers, consultants, and internal groups to minimize risks and improve market performance
Support the negotiations and contracting process for O&M, Asset Management, Energy Management, and OEM Long Term Service Agreements, and build strong relationships with these entities
Lead and manage teams of third-party asset managers, O&M contractors, compliance experts, and consultants essential to project success
Collaborate and lead cross-functional initiatives with internal groups including finance, FP&A, accounting, execution, legal, tax and other groups as needed
Ensure all the assets comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards, and in particular NERC and FERC related compliance throughout the process
Ensure compliance to permits, and other agreements such as PILOT, tax abatement, and EDAs
Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on asset performance, financial health, and strategic initiatives
Oversee relationships with key vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality service and favorable contract terms, and also minimizing downtime during warranty management
Plan local community events for continued engagement throughout the life of the asset
Promote and implement sustainability initiatives to improve the environmental impact of the facilities and provide feedback to the overall ESG program in place
Support implementation of Agrivoltaics and other best practices pertaining to vegetation management and support the negotiations for vegetation management, grazing, and other agrivoltaics agreements as needed
Develop a comprehensive recycling and decommissioning plan for all assets in alignment with the broader ESG goals

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or related field from an accredited university
7+ years of progressive experience with a majority in the energy industry, with a demonstrated successful track record in operations, performance, and asset management services
Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and ability to work independently with very little guidance
Comprehensive understanding and practical knowledge of power plant operations, performance engineering, and asset management
Familiarity with or expertise in electricity markets, including PJM, MISO, ERCOT and SPP
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

Advanced degree while not required, is strongly preferred
