They are seeking a skilled CAD Operator / Designer to support their Low Voltage Division by creating high-quality system designs and technical documentation for various low voltage electrical systems.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Design fire alarm, access control, security, and nurse call systems in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, and AHJ requirements
Create shop drawing plans for a wide range of low voltage systems using AutoCAD and design software
Analyze blueprints and survey existing structures to support accurate system design
Coordinate technical submittals with architects, engineers, and AHJs
Perform site visits as required
Maintain strong communication with technical representatives and sales personnel
Produce Operations & Maintenance manuals and as-built drawings for installed systems

Required

2–3 years of experience designing electronic systems and/or fire alarm systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong working knowledge of NFPA, NEC, IBC, IFC, IMC, and related codes
Proficient in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude
Knowledge of general construction practices and terminology
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements

Preferred

NICET Certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology – Fire Alarm Systems
