Cybersecurity Data Analyst (Government)

Responsibilities

This role examines data from different sources with the goal of providing insight into organizational security processes and information systems
Analysts design, document, and implement custom algorithms, workflow processes, and large data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes

Qualification

Splunk Search Processing LanguageStatistical analysisData analysis experienceCustomer relationship skillsCommunication skills

Required

Working knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL). (Candidates must pass an SPL assessment.)
At least 1 year of experience performing statistical analysis on large data sets
The successful candidate will demonstrate statistical analysis such as identifying the standard deviation of a large data set
In doing so, the candidate can use any tool such as spreadsheet software, database software, business intelligence and visualization tools, or programming languages and platforms. However, candidates may not utilize LLM or AI-assisted solutions such as ChatGPT

Preferred

At least three years of experience in cybersecurity with at least 1 year of that experience in data analysis
Good communication and customer relationship skills
