Responsibilities
Will act as a ground rigger while assisting with installation / strike of the rigging and staging equipment within the assigned venue, project, or event
Assists with the preparation, loading, unloading and transportation of rigging and staging gear and other equipment and materials
Assisting with the use and operation of the rigging and staging equipment within the assigned venue, project, or event
Responsible for the appropriate maintenance of rigging and staging equipment under the supervision of the Lead Tech 1
Operates large vehicles and heavy equipment. Acts as a spotter and provides correct hand signals for vehicles to protect UO’s assets
Assists in inspecting department’s equipment inventory
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
0-2 years' experience within the assigned technical discipline
A Valid Florida Driver's License is required to operate company vehicles
UO (Universal Orlando) provided annual training is required for heavy equipment operation
Preferred
Technical school is preferred
Prior experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity (Rigging and Staging); or equivalent combination of education and experience
