Software Developer and Applications Support

Applied Intellect, LLC is seeking a Software Developer and Applications Support to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications while providing Tier 2 & 3 technical support for their internal case management system. Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications, systems, and features
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards
Integrate software with third-party applications, APIs, and databases
Maintain version control and follow established change-management procedures
Ensure applications meet security, data privacy, and compliance requirements
Provide technical support and documentation as needed
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and development trends
Provide advanced technical support for internally developed applications
Diagnose and resolve application, database, and integration issues escalated from Tier 1 support
May assist in providing Tier 1 support as needed
Support user access management, permissions, and role-based security for applications
Monitor application performance and system availability, responding to incidents as needed
Assist with software deployments, updates, patches and system enhancements
Support testing and validation of systems to ensure stability and compliance
Maintain confidentiality of health information in compliance with HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI) requirements
Utilize virtual communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom) to engage with Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) representatives, partners, consultants, community members, and headquarters staff
Model and promote practices that emphasize trust-based, relationship-centered principles in decision-making, staff management, and collaboration across departments
Maintain relationships with colleagues rooted in safety, connection, and self-regulation
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual statistic reports for submission to ORR; and
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software/database engineering or equivalent work experience with certifications
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development role preferred
Experience developing applications using one or more programming languages e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL
Familiarity with web technologies, databases, and application frameworks
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Ability to provide on-call support for system outages or critical issues
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies
Experience developing secure, scalable, and high-availability systems
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing
Prior experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
Maintain an appropriate confidential remote workspace and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business technology
Must possess a valid driver's license, insurance, a clean driving record and reliable transportation (if required)
Successful completion of ORR/ACF's Suitability Determination, a federal background check initiated upon employment (if required)
