Responsibilities
Own requirements discovery end-to-end: stakeholder interviews, workshops, and deep-dive analysis
Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
Perform process mapping to identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and edge cases
Define workflows, system behaviors, and exception handling for complex scenarios
Create wireframes and workflow diagrams to communicate intent and user journeys
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to ensure requirements are feasible, unambiguous, and testable
Lead backlog refinement sessions and requirement walkthroughs
Support UAT planning, execution, and business sign-off
Use QA thinking to validate requirements before development begins
Design high-value test scenarios based on acceptance criteria and business risk
Execute targeted manual testing across UI, API, and backend workflows as needed
Perform API validation using Postman to confirm business logic and data flows
Validate edge cases, integrations, and failure scenarios most people miss
Ensure traceability from requirements → test scenarios → release outcomes
Partner with QA and Engineering to clarify defects, root causes, and prevention strategies
Act as a trusted bridge between business stakeholders, Product, and Engineering
Proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and scope changes
Help ensure releases reflect actual business intent, not just technical completion
Contribute to continuous improvement of requirements and delivery practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years in Business Analysis, with hands-on QA or testing experience
Strong ability to gather requirements, map processes, and write precise user stories
QA mindset: understands STLC, defect lifecycles, and regression impacts
Experience validating APIs and backend workflows (Postman experience strongly preferred)
Proficiency with JIRA and Agile delivery workflows
Experience with wireframing or diagramming tools (Figma, Balsamiq, Lucid, etc.)
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint ceremonies
Strong communication skills — you can explain complexity without causing migraines
Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
Preferred
Experience in energy, logistics, supply chain, or ERP-style systems
SQL skills for validating data and backend behavior
Experience supporting UAT with business users
Exposure to test automation tools (Testim or similar)
