InternFuturewei Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Photonics and Thermal Research Intern to conduct research, modeling, and prototyping in the fields of photonics metamaterials and thermal management. The intern will work alongside senior researchers to explore and develop impactful technologies.

Responsibilities
Model and evaluate photonic and nanostructured materials with FDTD
Model thermal management with Comsol
Apply artificial intelligence toolboxes for material design
Publish papers
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics or relative major
Experience in running commercially available modeling FDTD and FEA software, such as Tidy3D or Lumerical for FDTD, and or COSMOL for thermal application
Knowledge and experience in Machine Learning Python toolboxes
Self-motivated detail-oriented team player
Good verbal and written communication skills
Have track record of publishing scientific papers
