Responsibilities

Analyzes and processes company licensing applications for the licensure and registration of regulated entities. Communicates deficiencies with applicant. Coordinates with Financial Analysis and the Office of Financial Counsel as needed. Applies written procedures and processes in conjunction with applicable sections of the Texas Insurance Code (TIC) and Texas Administrative Code (TAC)
Processes and tracks company licensing renewals, annual reports, filing fees, and late fees for various regulated entities; including third-party administrators, premium finance companies, surplus lines companies, purchasing groups, and risk retention groups
Prepares and maintains records of deposit, renewal, substitution, and withdrawal of securities related to voluntary or statutory deposits. This involves extensive coordination with numerous banks and the office of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts
Processes and updates regulated entity information in the Sircon database, including changes to officers and directors, names and addresses, business plans, etc.; performs research of Sircon database information for management reports
Performs other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, professionally handling an equitable portion of CLR incoming email and phone inquiries

Required

Sixty college hours
One year of experience in licensing, insurance, finance, accounting, or legal environment
Regular work attendance
Demonstrated knowledge of state laws, rules, procedures, and regulations relevant to job requirements
Business writing, office practices and procedures
Principles, practices, laws, and statutes regarding licensing
Manage competing priorities to meet assigned timeframes
Texas Insurance Code and Texas Administrative Code requirements regarding incorporation/admission of insurance companies, certification of reinsurers, registration of third-party administrators, premium finance companies, risk retention groups, and eligibility of surplus lines companies
Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated skill in problem solving and critical thinking
Using Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
Using personal computers sufficient to enter and extract data from related systems and programs such as Centralized Accounting Payroll and Personnel (CAPPS) and other systems required to perform the job
Problem solving, decision making, and planning
Analyzing, determining compliance with regulatory rules and statutes
Updating and accuracy of records management systems
Excelling in a collaborative team environment
Professional verbal and written communications skill
