Investment Officer II, Direct Investments
CalSTRS is seeking an experienced individual to work as an Investment Officer II on the Private Equity team. The role involves co-investment underwriting and portfolio management for private equity investments, supporting the management and monitoring of a portfolio of private equity co-investments.

Responsibilities
Performing the wide range of duties associated with co-investment underwriting and portfolio management for the private equity industry
Supporting efforts to assist in the management and monitoring of a portfolio of private equity co-investments (primary and secondary) in the U.S. and internationally
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree or possession of an advanced degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or other similar fields
Knowledge of investment principles
Experience in underwriting, investment due diligence and writing investment recommendation memos
Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts
Strong financial modeling, portfolio analytics and presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in interaction with external management consultants, advisors, and/or legal experts
Team player with a strong work ethic, high integrity, and desire to learn
Preferred
CFA designation or other professional certification such as CAIA

5% monthly base pay differential
