Deployment Manager

Responsibilities
Manage Field Staff: Will lead a team of Deployment Coordinators to manage field delivery across major accounts reporting into North America Senior Resource Manager
Strategic Deployment Planning: Aligning field activities with organizational priorities, forecasting technician and partner resource needs, and ensuring readiness for project initiations
Field Resource Optimization: Ensuring effective utilization of field technicians across accounts and geographies to balance capacity to meet project needs
Partner Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams (account team, partner engagement, resourcing, etc.) and external partner teams to develop weekly/monthly/quarterly staffing coverage
Account Team Support: Providing strategic oversight and operational support for deployment initiatives across the organization
Managing KPIs: Utilization, efficiency, on time delivery, field quality adherence, and other associated field metrics
Process Improvement: Identifying gaps or inefficiencies in the deployment process and driving continuous improvement initiatives across teams and partner ecosystems
Remote Role & Travel: This is a remote position with occasional travel (approximately 10%) to support project needs or team coordination
Develop and maintain deployment strategies aligned with corporate objectives
Major account deployment initiatives at a regional level
Forecast and secure resource needs based on upcoming projects and long-term growth
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Deployment Coordinators responsible for scheduling and execution of field activities
Set performance goals and KPIs for team members; conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations
Ensure the team meets weekly staffing, deployment, and reporting deadlines
Monitor and optimize utilization of internal and external field technicians across multiple geographies
Identify gaps in technician coverage and proactively address them through staffing adjustments or partner support
Interface with Project Managers and Deployment Coordinators to determine weekly project start requirements
Ensure all deployment projects are properly staffed each week with the right mix of skilled technicians
Manage high level staffing plans that reflect upcoming deployments and technician availability to meet utilization targets
Collaborate with Project Managers and third-party Deployment Service Partners to ensure quality and staffing compliance
Review and validate weekly staffing rosters from partners and ensure resource commitments are met
Address partner performance issues and enforce accountability standards
Prepare detailed, accurate reports on deployment activity, technician utilization, staffing levels, and project readiness
Present weekly updates and metrics to senior leadership to support decision-making
Use tools such as Excel, Power BI, and resource management dashboards to visualize trends and gaps
Collaborate with internal teams including Account teams, Project Management, Engineering, Partner Management and Quality
Align deployment schedules and resourcing with project timelines, equipment availability, and site readiness
Participate in planning meetings to provide deployment feasibility insights and constraints
Promote and apply Just-In-Time (JIT) principles in EF&I field management to reduce waste and improve timing
Implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of deployment planning and execution
Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, company standards and policies, customer quality standards and regulatory requirements across all deployment activities
Qualification
Required
AAS or BS degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science
8+ years of telecom management experience
Proven ability to lead and manage a large field force including middle managers
Demonstrated knowledge of general business principles
Able to maintain effectiveness in changing environment
Develops and maintains working knowledge of installation practices, product or other process and quality initiative / requirements supported by the company
