HR Assistant
Burnett Therapeutic Services (BTS) is a leader in Behavioral and Mental Health care, seeking a friendly, empathetic, and highly organized HR Assistant to support their Human Resources and Payroll Team. The HR Assistant will manage payroll processes, answer HR-related questions, maintain accurate records, and support employee communication.
Individual & Family Services
Responsibilities
Enter and verify staff hours in NPA based on finalized Appointment Admin records
Send payroll close communications, including Lock NPA and Super Locker emails
Review and track drive time and overtime for accuracy and compliance
Process sick time and PTO requests in NPA
Support payroll preparation, audits, and payroll-related reporting
Enter new hire information into ADP and support onboarding payroll setup
Prepare and issue final paycheck totals and separation letters
Complete and mail the required EDD forms accurately and on time
Respond to HR and payroll-related questions from staff with empathy, clarity, and professionalism
Send benefit reminder emails and support employee enrollment in EASE health plans
Communicate HR updates, reminders, and process changes clearly and professionally
Assist with HR, payroll, and operations side projects as assigned
Support data tracking, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, payroll support, or a related HR administrative role
Strong customer service and people-facing skills, with a friendly, empathetic, and supportive approach
Ability to multitask effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Excellent computer skills, including Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Excel
Experience creating and maintaining trackers, reports, and data logs with strong attention to detail
Solid analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with clear, professional, and compassionate communication
High level of confidentiality, accountability, and professionalism
Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively
