Receptionist
The Diocese of Tucson is seeking a Receptionist for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. The role involves performing clerical duties to support the parish office, including handling phone calls, maintaining records, and providing assistance to visitors and staff.

Responsibilities
Recognize and support the unique Catholic Mission of the Diocese by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The employee may not espouse, in word or deed, any doctrine inconsistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
Give evidence of living Gospel values by being an active member of a faith community and being open to the importance of a personal faith journey; strive to model the teaching of Jesus by attitude and example
Foster communication and work collaboratively with office staff
Answer and handle incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner; Distribute mail daily; perform mailings as necessary
Prioritize, coordinate, and schedule calendar requests; maintain and ensure accuracy of the calendar
Update and maintain parish records including sacramental records
Provide assistance and provide administrative support as necessary to include typing of correspondence and other documents
Attending to the needs of visitors to the parish; keep the reception room and office and kitchen area in good order
Provide support to parish personnel as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have a working knowledge of, and a strong commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church; must also be in full communion with the Church
Type a minimum of 30 WPM
Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player
Be available for evening and weekend work as necessary
Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in the use of computer technology including word processing; ability to maintain confidentiality
The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check
Professional bearing and clean and neat personal appearance
High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience in a similar position in a business firm or other establishment
Preferred
Bi-lingual (Spanish, English) preferred
