Calibration Laboratory Supervisor
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is looking for a Calibration Laboratory Supervisor to support their government customer. The role involves overseeing the operations of the calibration laboratory, ensuring compliance with NAVAIR policies, and managing laboratory staff and resources.

Responsibilities
Leads the laboratory through the process of obtaining and maintaining NAVAIR accreditation
Participates in internal and external audits. Applies corrective actions to laboratory processes and procedures as required
Establishes and maintains lab operating policy and procedures
Maintains Calibration Lab activities based on NAVAIR and PMRF policies and procedures
Works with PMRF to set priorities and manage competing requirements for resources
Performs inventory management of parts, supplies, and tools
Ensures that complete and concise calibration results are documented per requirements, and that processes are managed, as required
Prepares and submits status reports and technical reports and briefs, as required, to Senior Management and Customers in timely manner
Prepares or reviews and approves for dissemination all Department Contract Data requirements (CDRLs)
Implements and carries out programs for the lab
Represent Koa Lani in planning meetings and design reviews
Approves timecards, leave requests, and travel requests
Provides training and guidance related to Quality Assurance, Security, Safety, and other Company Policy and Procedures
Monitors and reviews personnel performance and provides counseling and guidance as required
Develops training and professional development plans for the laboratory staff to ensure their skills remain current
Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new laboratory personnel
Prepares business cases and justifications for equipment purchases
Identifies and assessing potential risks to the laboratory's operations, personnel, and data integrity
Prepares and leads customer surveys and management reviews
Effectively partners with Government customer/counterparts
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Equivalent years of experience may be substituted in lieu of education)
Five (5) years of experience in management or supervision in electronic and/or electro/mechanical systems or related field; Four (4) years of which must have been in the measurement systems field
Calibration experience with electromechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic system/equipment
Very strong organizational skills
Possesses knowledge of mechanical and electrical instrumental calibrations and maintaining data for calibrations
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
Preferred
NAVAIR or military experience is preferred
Experience with QA/QC work a plus
Direct Calibration lab experience
Experience in the calibration of force, pressure, dimensional, and/or electronic calibration
