Machine Adjuster

Responsibilities

Examine work orders to determine specifications
Inspect product quality according to quality guidelines
Ensure accuracy in labeling, printing, and packaging throughout production
Perform daily machine maintenance, changeovers, and set-up
Conduct minor machine repairs and troubleshoot operating difficulties
Analyze machine operations and make mechanical adjustments
Perform machine wash-up and general cleaning duties
Complete paperwork accurately to record labor, time, and quality
Maintain accurate counts of envelopes to boxes, cartons, and pallets
Pack envelopes uniformly and neatly into completed containers
Place die-cut paper stacks into the machine feed

Required

Mechanical aptitude and experience in machine set-up
Proficiency in preventive maintenance and mechanically inclined tasks
2-3+ years of experience at each company ideally
Demonstrated expertise as a Set-Up Operator or Auto Mechanic
5 years of machine set-up and/or repair experience
Ability to set up orders on production manufacturing equipment
Capacity to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization
Aptitude in basic arithmetic operations
Proficiency in reading and interpreting ruler measurements
Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift
Ability to move up to 50 lbs

Preferred

Experience in the Envelope Industry preferred but not required
Capacity to work on 3rd shift from 10:30 pm - 6:30 am, Sunday to Thursday, with a $1.00/hr shift premium
