The Government Analyst I role involves reviewing vendor applications, preparing reports, and assisting in monitoring vendor compliance to ensure operational goals are met.

Responsibilities
Reviewing vendor applications, as needed, for proper documentation and determining appropriate action in accordance with established procedures in alignment with federal and state law
Prepares and analyzes reviewer reports and informs supervisor of any impediments to the unit’s workflow; makes recommendations to management to resolve any issues and problems regarding the unit’s workflow
Inform management of any vendor registration or renewal activities that may need to be modified to ensure the achievement of operational goals
Reviews Employment Specialist applications for approved Vocational Rehabilitation providers
Leading and/or assisting with routine monitoring of non-contracted vendor types
Researching changes to Florida Statutes or licensing requirements of another state agency that may impact vendor registration requirements in alignment with federal and state law
Assist in preparing management reports and data reports, as requested; and
Assist in preparing and conducting training and presentations, if needed
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis, and of basic management principles and practices
Knowledge of office procedures
Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations
Ability to document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices, documents and other written materials
Ability to work well with others
Ability to conduct fact finding-solving techniques
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
Ability to communicate effectively; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Ability to use Microsoft Office

Experience, education, training, knowledge, skills and/or abilities as well as responses to pre-qualifying questions must be verifiable to meet the minimum qualifications

All applicants for employment or to volunteer who are selected for an interview will be provided with the Consent to Background Screening form for level 2 screening, the Affidavit of Good Moral Character, and the Notice of Rights
The leading candidate for employment or to volunteer will be required to execute the Consent form and Affidavit, report to a designated location, and submit fingerprints for level 2 screening
No applicant for a designated position will be employed or permitted to volunteer until the level 2 screening results are received, reviewed, and approved by the Department
