Responsibilities

Maintain and oversee the business relationships between internal and external entities. Serve as the liaison for the agency on Asset Forfeiture for the Department
Act as the LSP liaison to Operational Development in establishing, implementing and revising (as necessary) the Asset Forfeiture Program standards and guidelines and policies for the Criminal Investigation Administrative Rules and Regulations (901). Incumbent is the acting representative for LSP with Op Dev on any Asset Forfeiture matter going before the Legislature
Participate and respond proactively to audits of the Asset Forfeiture Program and its records. Coordinate responses and reports to auditors in gaining access to Criminal Investigation Division, Gaming Division, or Special Investigations Division files and seized assets, Federal entities, and State entities. Monitor compliance within program guidelines
Provide on-going consultation to command, professional, and support staff on issues related to Asset Forfeiture
Prepare and present Asset Forfeiture materials used for training and/or presentations to all Criminal Investigation Division (CID), Special Investigations Division (SID), and Gaming Division (GAM) Supervisors and Agents, and to the Louisiana Parish District Attorney Officials. Serve as the LSP Asset Forfeiture liaison at statewide training events, work groups, councils, and coalitions. Incumbent also acts as a liaison between the CID, SID, GAM Divisions and the Louisiana State Police Investigation Commanders, Administrative Staff, the Criminal Investigation Field Offices, all the Louisiana Parish District Attorney Offices, all Federal Agencies and other State and Local Agencies. Analyze the impact of Federal and State legislation that may affect the training needs of Department CID, SID, and GAM Agents

Required

Four years of experience in administrative services
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in administrative services
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in administrative services
An advanced degree
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field
