Marketing & Sales/Finance Intern (Summer 2026)

Koenig Equipment has been family-owned since 1904, setting standards in the Agriculture, Lawn & Garden, and Compact Construction industries. They are seeking a College Intern for Summer 2026 to support customer engagement through event planning and assist Finance by piloting a new approach to retail finance.

Agriculture

Responsibilities

Research topics and trends of interest to customers, employees, and the community
Propose creative event ideas and themes to management for approval
Source and coordinate talent, speakers, vendors, venues, and other resources
Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to promote events through digital, social, and traditional channels
Manage full event planning, logistics, budgeting, setup, execution, and on-site coordination
Conduct post-event debriefs with management, including reviews, feedback, and recommendations for improvement
Deliverables: 2 customer-focused events, 1 community outreach event, and 1 internal employee event
Process customer credit applications efficiently and accurately
Prepare all necessary finance paperwork and secure customer signatures
Facilitate the order-to-cash process
Conduct phone follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction and upsell value-added services

Required

Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in the following: Ag Business, Marketing or Finance
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage projects and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers, vendors, team members, and management
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM tools, social media, or finance software is a plus
Detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused with a positive attitude
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Comfortable with a hybrid schedule: Remote work Tuesdays & Wednesdays; in-person at the dealership Thursdays–Saturdays (Knightstown, IN location)
