Strategic Planning Business Development Associate - Full Time

Connecticut Children's is the only health system in Connecticut that is 100% dedicated to children. The Strategic Planning & Business Development Associate provides strategic and analytical support to inform system planning activities, business development, and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

Conduct ongoing environmental and market assessments to identify trends, benchmarks, and growth opportunities in support of system wide and region/service line specific planning
Support business development, strategic planning, program evaluation, and project initiatives with data driven analysis
Develop forecasting models, scenario planning analyses, and market assessments to guide strategy
Recommend and track performance metrics, including ROI, growth strategies, and operational outcomes
Produce reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights effectively to leadership
Assist in developing and monitoring institutional scorecards, performance improvement initiatives, and business plans
Coordinate data collection, reporting, and benchmarking across service lines
Collaborate with system leaders to share findings, promote best practices, and align initiatives
Research best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes to support strategic initiatives including but not limited to Certificate of Need and special ad hoc projects
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required

Education: Bachelor's degree in analytics, business, or related field
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare strategy, planning, and business development
Knowledge of healthcare trends and strategic planning processes gained through relevant experience
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
Collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and professionally
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and database/forecasting tools (e.g., Sg2, CHIME, Tableau)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet competing deadlines with accuracy
High professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information
Innovative, curious, and solution-focused mindset

Preferred

Education: Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
Experience: Knowledge of healthcare systems, finance, planning, and operational data
