Purchasing Specialist / Remote

Amerita, Inc. is a specialty infusion company focused on providing complex pharmaceutical products and clinical services to patients outside of the hospital. The purchasing specialist is responsible for assisting and supporting the Branch Purchaser with routine and impromptu purchases, maintaining inventory, and providing training on purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

The purchasing specialist facilitates the acquisition of branches supplies and equipment and ensures that vital inventory is kept in stock
Coordinating and managing activities during the purchasing process, such as:
Add, modify drugs/supplies in inventory database for existing and new sites
Transfer equipment in CPR+ to appropriate sites, as requested
Provide branch support to obtain drugs and supplies necessary to maintain continuity of therapy for active patients
Source short supply inventory items to meet needs of the field
Provides employee training on McKesson PHD ordering process
Provides employee training on timely ordering and appropriate inventory management
Provide remote and on-site pharmacy, purchasing, inventory support and training during the acquisition and integration of new Amerita Branches
Works closely with the accounting department to resolve problems with invoices and set up accounts with new vendors, and will be the point of contact within the company for any vendor inquiries or issues
Adheres to Company policies and procedures, local, state and federal law and regulations
Adheres to professional practice act in state(s) of licensure

Certified Pharmacy TechnicianCPR+ experienceHome infusion experienceVendor managementInventory managementTraining skillsCommunication skills

Required

Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or experience with Amerita's pharmacy processes and CPR+
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in home infusion and using CPR+
