Responsibilities

Produce neat and accurate drawings for successful field installation
Conduct hydraulic calculations using the Hydratec calculation program to ensure cost-effective sizing as per code
Perform field surveys to verify structural elements and ensure efficient pipe routing and code-compliant sprinkler spacing
Schedule and attend project coordination meetings, documenting any coordination outcomes
Submit drawings to appropriate authorities to secure permits and approvals before installation
Follow up on submittals to ensure permits are secured on time
Produce accurate fabrication and purchasing stocklists and submit them promptly to avoid delays
Maintain individual job status reports and communicate with supervisors regarding workload and scheduling
Assist field personnel with design-related job issues and complete final as-builts
Maintain proper documentation using a paperless system and archive project documents in accordance with company policies
Coordinate with QA design review to allow for timely project reviews
Assist sales in procuring flow test information and necessary AutoCAD drawings as time permits
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Minimum 2 years of sprinkler experience
Minimum NICET Level I Sprinkler certification
Knowledge of NFPA codes and applicable Building Code
Experience with AutoCAD 2018 or later
Experience with the Hydratec sprinkler package
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to handle frequent schedule changes, delays, and unexpected events
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check, including previous employment verification

Preferred

REVIT experience is a plus
Field experience is a plus
