Responsibilities

Manage a team of 3–6 specialized data engineers
Navigate conversations between finance, product, and data science teams
Take ownership of the pipelines powering client billing
Evolve the systems that calculate fees and generate insights
Work with software teams to ensure that changes to our apps don't break our billing or machine learning models downstream

Required

7+ years of hands-on data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (EM or Tech Lead) managing performance and growth
A background in building high-reliability systems where accuracy is paramount (e.g., billing, fintech, or regulated environments)
A track record of turning messy or disconnected data into trusted, easy-to-use data products
Proven ability to lead projects where requirements change and stakeholders (like finance vs. product) have different priorities
SQL and deep experience with a modern data stack (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Airflow)

Preferred

Familiarity with healthcare RCM reporting metrics or core financial performance metrics
