Responsibilities
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients to understand their data and information governance needs. Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations based on InfoGov.com's proven methodology and tools
Conduct comprehensive information governance analysis, similar to a risk analysis, to identify potential data risks, privacy concerns, and compliance needs for each client
Offer tailored guidance and solutions to each client, from data management practices to regulatory compliance, collaborating with InfoGov.com’s network of experts as needed
Educate clients on the importance of information governance, data protection, and risk management, encouraging proactive measures for data security
Help clients navigate compliance requirements across various regulations and industries, ensuring that they remain secure and compliant over time
Stay informed on trends in information governance, data privacy, and regulatory changes to provide the most accurate and timely advice
Qualification
Required
Background in Information Governance, Data Privacy, or Risk Management: Experience in a related field is essential; legal, IT, cybersecurity, privacy, records/data governance, or compliance expertise is a plus
Strong Communication & Relationship-Building Skills: Must be able to build trust and foster long-lasting relationships with clients
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze client challenges and provide creative, compliant, and practical solutions
Independence & Initiative: This role is ideal for independent professionals or freelancers with a drive to build their own book of business
Ethical Standards: High standards of integrity and accountability, with a strong commitment to client confidentiality and data protection
Preferred
Information Governance & Data Privacy certifications such as Information Governance Professional (IGP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), PECB-CDPO (Certified Data Protection Officer)
Risk Management & IT Governance certifications such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT), CGRC-IT (Certified in Governance, Risk, and Compliance for IT), CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional), RIMS-CRMP (Certified Risk Management Professional)
Cybersecurity & Data Security certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), CSPM (Certified Security Project Manager), Certified in Data Protection (CDP)
