Certified Nursing Assistant (Oklahoma City, OK)

Ennoble Care is a mobile primary care, palliative care, and hospice service provider. They are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their growing Hospice Company for the Oklahoma City, OK region, responsible for providing care and assistance to patients with chronic conditions and limited mobility.

Responsibilities

Care for census of 5-6 patients
Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails
Provides assistance in toileting, positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient
Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse
Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen and patient’s laundry
Feeds and assists with meals
Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Nurse

Required

Must have a valid CNA license in the state of OK
Valid Driver's License and reliable mode of transportation
Authorized to work in the United States
Meets the training requirements of the State
Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training. Sixteen hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training
At least 18 years of age
Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
Satisfactory references from previous employers
Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision. Secure with issues of death/dying. Provides a calm manner when in a patient's home
Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired
Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with organization requirements and is in good working order
Successfully completes a probationary period. This probationary period is to ensure the aide is competent in the above qualifications and is documented by the supervisor and the employee
